(Eastaboga, AL - May 8, 2025) - Due to an unfavorable weather forecast calling for a high probability of rain and thunderstorms throughout the Southeast this weekend, the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series event originally scheduled for this weekend at Waycross Motor Speedway has been officially postponed.
Forecasts are currently predicting a 70%–90% chance of rain and thunderstorms across the region, with isolated storms expected in the morning, followed by widespread thunderstorm activity throughout the afternoon. With an 80% chance of rain and potential for locally heavy downpours on Saturday, series and track officials made the joint decision to postpone the highly anticipated $10,000-to-win event.
“We absolutely hate to postpone races, but with the expected weather, this is the right decision for both parties,” said Crate Racin’ USA Series Director Adam Stewart. “Luckily, we had an open date that worked for both the series and the racetrack on September 13th, and we look forward to working with Michele and the entire staff at Waycross", the $10,000-to-win program will now take place on Saturday, September 13th and will be the Jeff Godbee Memorial with local divisions in action as well.
With this schedule adjustment, the Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series will now sit idle until May 30–31, when the series returns to the scenic Senoia Raceway in Senoia, GA. The doubleheader weekend will feature twin $1,500-to-win non-points features on Friday, May 30th, followed by a $5,000-to-win main event on Saturday night, May 31st.
